The Jeslync Screenplay Importer (SImp) for Moviestorm is currently in a closed beta cycle.

Jeslync Simp Version: 0.4 beta

Jeslync Simp is the Jeslync Screenplay IMPorter for Moviestorm. This program will take a given movie name and Final Draft screenplay in rtf format or Celtx screenplay in html format and generate a new Moviestorm movie for it. It will create the movie directory if it is not already there and create new movie.mscope and movie.summary files. The movie will create a set of default characters and scenes based on the script. Dialog will be imported into the scenes and assigned to the characters.

TO USE:

First ensure that you have a jre 1.5 or above instaled and that your JAVA_HOME environment variable is set.

1. Run Simp from your desktop or the Start menu.
2. Supply the following when prompted:
• Moviestorm Movie Directory - the location where your movies are stored.
• Script File - the Final Draft script saved as an .rtf file or Celtx script saved as an .html file.
• Movie Name - the title you want to give your movie.
3. Open or restart Moviestorm.
4. Open your newly imported movie.

Things left for you to do in no particular order:

1. Customize your characters.
2. Build your sets.
3. Record audio for the dialog.
4. Make your movie!

• Fixed bug #5. Dialog from screenplays containing only one scene would not import.

KNOWN ISSUES

• If the movie directory already exists the program will likely fail without notice or explanation.
• There is next to no usable feedback on errors of any kind. The program will likely die without notice.
