Where to stay in Krabi, Thailand.

Prior to deciding where to travel, I've always wanted to try the Floating Breakfast and somewhere that has beaches. Hence, I was having a hard time choosing between Krabi, Thailand and Bali, Indonesia by comparing the eye-catching sceneries and activities. Since I'd been to Bali years ago, I thought why not give Krabi a try?

To be honest, I'd traveled to Thailand for a few times but I'm still madly in love with this country. Be it the food, culture or my favourite activity - Thai Massage.

Krabi is actually more happening at the Aonang beach area, that I'd categorise Krabi into Town and Beaches. It's a 4 days 3 nights trip, therefore I planned to spend 1 night in Town and 2 nights in Aonang.

Right after we touched down, we headed straight to the highly rated hotel - FAMILY TREE HOTEL.

I was browsing through all the hotels & villas in Krabi, and I came across this, with its overall rating at 9.6. For a second, I was thinking that it's absurd to have a hotel such high rating, while pricing only at RM300+ (tax inclusive).

I'd always spend a lot of time doing research about the hotel, as I didn't just want it to be clean & comfortable, but also Instagrammable. FAMILY TREE HOTEL has fulfilled all of my requirements, despite the fact that it doesn't have picturesque scenery. The interior design of the hotel was amazing that our room is linked to a mini garden with swings.

The staff was lovely that they would help us carry the luggage up to our rooms as the hotel only has stairs. Tbh, it'd be difficult to bring the luggage to the rooms with the use of spiral staircase.

Moreover, the hotel provided free drinks, snacks and roasted coffee beans for drip coffee at its mini bar. The snacks were so delicious that I actually bought an extra jar of handmade cookies for my family!

We headed out for sightseeing and got back around 8pm with our takeaways from a night market which locates around 6 mins away from the hotel. We were on our way up and the staff stopped us, and gave us the "Good night gift". That was exceptionally sweet of them.

Banana, Citrus, Milk and Scone

Next day, we had breakfast in the hotel. We saw the review mentioning their Big Breakfast is a must try, and so we ordered that & Salmon Benedict.

I think Big Breakfast was overrated, but the jam was surprising.

Salmon Benedict being topped with Caviar was unexpected as it was priced around 250 baht (if not mistaken). This dish is highly recommended! Not to forget their Passion fruit Juice, I still remember how it tasted until now.

Another highlight was the cakes, mouth-watering at affordable prices.

One thing about Krabi, is that the travel fare is more pricey (especially for Grab) as compared to other places in Thailand, and sometimes you might find it difficult finding Tuk-Tuk in town. You may request the hotel to book a taxi for you, which is around 400 baht to Tiger Cave Temple, & pretty much the same to other places.

After getting the number of the taxi driver, you may call him directly next time and bargain for lower taxi fares.

Overall, we're extremely satisfied with the food, services and stay in Family Tree Hotel & would definitely recommend it to my friends & followers! Refer to the link below for online booking.
